Jenna Fischer was best known for portraying Pam Beesly (the character of The Office) on TV. Her role on The Office earned her an Emmy nod for the best supporting Actress category. In addition, she won two SAG Awards, both for outstanding performances by an ensemble cast in a comedy.
She was raised primarily in St. Louis Missouri. Jenna grew up watching her mother Anne performing in church plays. The experience instilled a passion for theater.
She's a trained actress who was back in theater following The Office. She was a part of Josh Hamilton Leslie Bibb Fred Weller in Neil LaBute's Off Broadway show Reasons for Being Happy. She then starred in Steve Martin's latest production Meteor Shower. It was an absurd comedy piece starring Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg and ran for record-breaking time at Old Globe Theatre.
In October of 2019, Fischer and The Office cast-mate and real-life best friend Angela Kinsey launched the podcast Office Ladies on the Earwolf platform. The podcast has since been a huge success, landing in the Top Ten globally every week and gaining over 200 million downloads in its first two years. Office Ladies was awarded the iHeart Radio Podcast of the year award in January 2021.
She's also the co-author of Office BFF's Tales of The Office The Story of Two Best Friends There. This autobiography is about their relationship and working together for The Office.
